Hadida Oil Field Represents Major Boost for the Sudanese Economy

Khartoum (SMC) Sudan Vision Daily:
State Minister at the Ministry of Finance and National Economy, Abdul Rahman Dirar stressed that Hadida oil field, which was opened recently, represents a major boost for the Sudanese economy and affect the value of the national currency against foreign ones.
Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan, Mohamed Khair Al-Zubair said that the opening of the field came in light of the discovery of several precious metals. He pointed out that oil revenues will contribute in supporting agricultural activity.
For his part, Sudan's ambassador to the State of South Sudan, Dr. Mutrif Sidiq confirmed that the Hadida oil field represents a real addition to the oil industry in Sudan. He expressed his hope that the opening of the field compensates losses of requirements and contributes to establishment of more infrastructures.
On his part, Minister of Urban Planning, Energy and Water in North Kordofan, Khalid Maaroaf said that the opening of the field confirms the stability of the area.
Number of members of the National Council described the opening of the field as a historic event, calling on the citizens of the area to unite.
